250 Million Connected Vehicles by 2020?

By 2020, there will be 250 million connected vehicles on the road, enabling new in-vehicle services and automated driving capabilities, according to Gartner forecasts. That would represent about 20 percent of all vehicles on the road worldwide with some form of wireless network connection by 2020. Telematics, automated driving, infotainment and mobility services are among the key new capabilities the connections will support.
